2007 Pro Cycling Racing Season is Upon Us.

For those of us in the western United States, the 2007 season starts with the Amgen Tour of California. There have been many roster changes this year. Many of them brought on by doping scandals, as well as equally important roster signings. Anyway, the Amgen Tour roster has been announced And this from Gene Bisbee of Biking Bis: “The latest are Michael Rasmussen of Denmark and Freddie Rodriguez of the US. Add them to a list that already includes Italian Ivan Basso; Americans Levi Leipheimer, George Hincapie, Tom Danielson (all Discovery), David Zabriskie, Christian Vande Velde, and Bobby Julich (all CSC); CSC’s Juan Jose Haedo (winner of two stages last year); and world champion Paolo Bettini (QuickStep).”
Thats a lot of very good American riders, of course they like this race since its in the states, and should get good fan support here. There are some great riders in this group, and we should expect to hear more from them throughout the entire racing season.
Wait, wait, there’s one more thing…..
Just saw the Versus (used to be OLN) tv schedule for the Amgen. Got to make sure that Tivo catches these stages!
