GP got a new (used) car. It is a 1998 Acura Integra, and a very pretty blue. Auto Update: An inattentive City of Portland truck driver smashed into the car, while it was parked right outside GPs front door early one morning. Im sure there was a moment of silence as the tow truck driver drug the car to the scrap heap. Time to look for another.   The

Axel Nielsen Axel Nielsen of Sammamish, Wash, formerly of Lane Count, died Dec. 2 of age related causes at age 96. No Service is planned. <br>He was born Feb. 28, 1912 in Askov, Minn, to Jorgen and Anna Lund Nielsen. He married Irene Keith on March 10, 1932 in Albany. He completed school through the 8th grade. He was a diesel mechanic at Chucks Truck Shop.<br> Survivors include hi wife, a daughter Marynadine Evjen of Sammamish, Wash.: three sisters Marie Aasted of Junction City, Karen Louvering of Springfield, and Evelyn Mishler of Albany; a brother Carl Nielsen of Eugene; six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. <br>Rememberances to Faith Lutheran Church, Junction City. __________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________ |

Jack
the Dog. It's short for Jackstraw.
Derived from the song by the same name, from "The Grateful Dead".
Honey
describes him as a "pack animal".
I think thats a
psychological term for "socially dependent".
He is also a bit
"culturally diverse". For more Jack related photos.....
Jack just had a bit of surgery done on his tail. This forced him to wear "The Collar" and has made him none too happy.

Jack the yard protector dog is struggling now.
Jack is not real old. The best estimates put his age at about 12.
His breed could best be described as unique.
But for a large dog of his type, this is the time where he starts to show his age.
Several months ago, he began to struggle with his breathing.
The vet diagnosed him with laryngeal paralysis.
Simply put, his breathing tube is shutting down.

GP and M have a new kitten. The have named it Asterisk.

The weather appeared to be very good and the climb was long.
There is a lot of snow up there now, and the views seemed fantastic.
