Hmm, it doesnt seem like its been 6 years since we have done this ride.
And, I dont know why there isnt other stories about the rides of years past.
This is one of my favorite rides. Beautiful area, low traffic roads, good marking, great food and rest stops at firehouses and a park.
One of the few rides that serves lunch, included in the registration. They give out root beer floats at the end.
Plus they provide some of my favorite water bottles. We use the bottles from this ride for much of our rides.
And of course, there are the bridges. Five in all. Hoffman, Larwood, Gilkey, Shimenek and Hannah.
This year we did an abbreviated ride, taking the "no more hills" option to shorten a 69 mile ride to 60. Warm weather with clouds in the morning, burning off, to make a pretty hot day.
