Who we are……

If you are at this site, chances are you are here because you know who we are.

If you have just drifted here, then welcome. This personal website and blog was born from our software profession backgrounds. Having managed sites for a non profit agency and our church, the idea of starting our own site seemed intriguing. Currently it is what many things in our life should be: an outlet for thinking, communication, connections and relaxation. A simple method of therapy.

With it we can collect and focus our interests in areas such as bicycling, bridges, photography, as well as technical and social issues that affect our lives and the great states of Oregon and Kentucky.

Perhaps the contents of the blog or site will shed some light on what are are, what we think, things we do and things we see.

  • Honey grew up in the big city of Louisville, Ky
  • Monkey grew up in a small city of Junction City, OR
  • Now, we live outside the small city of Milwaukie, next to the big city of Portland.
  • Both of us presently have technical jobs, which makes us bit of a geek in our professional lives.
  • This fits us well, since we both tend to have a little bit of geek in our personal lives as well.
  • We love to ride our bikes.
  • We met while riding bikes, our honeymoon was spent riding bikes.
  • We want to ride forever.
  • Honey enjoys the planning part of home decorating and landscaping
  • Monkey enjoys the work part of home decorating and landscaping
  • We both love our Tivo and do not want to think of a life without it.
  • We like playing on our computers but realize that you should only spend so much time on them before you should go outside and play.
  • There are many hobbies and interests we want to pursue, but have not yet figured out how to fit them all in to our lives. We will continue to work on that.
  • Honey listens to NPR and is a prolific reader, who can read an entire book in an afternoon.
  • Monkey listens to an ever growing library of eclectic music, and can’t seem to sit still long enough to read the newspaper.
  • Turn ons: long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners
  • Turn offs: shallow people
  • Greatest wish: World Peace.
  • (Honey and Monkey are not the names we were given at birth)
